Two different colored clay bodies are used here to play against each other - Southern Ice Porcelain paperclay (the white clay) and Black Mountain sculpture clay (the very dark brown clay). No glaze.

Some fungus need trees to survive and some trees need the fungus in a symbiotic relationship. Take the forest out and the other cannot surive. The white has a double meaning - fungal elements or mycelium are actually white, and in this case, I've chosen to use the white procelain paperclay to also signify death as the forests disappear.
